Never say never - because can't doesn't exist here!

I am 57 - and like countless others tried many programs and many times to get fit and healthy, feel great and strong but most of all get comfortable in 'my body' and in ' my mind'.

Without too much 'pros vs. cons' soul searching I joined Ali fox transformations resigning myself to the idea that this could be just another self indulgent single minded attempt to make me feel like I was doing something good for others who would see me 'doing' something about my weight and fitness. So, I turned up to my very first turbulence training style boot camp in a baggy shirt and long shorts (as I don't have the fancy gear that looks good on my chubby body) and I brought along a friend for morale support.

I was convinced that I'd blend into the background and no one would notice if I didn't really join in.... wrong - 'never leave a man behind' was the catch cry from others even when I was the last or the slowest!

'Harden the fox up! 'You're doing great ' keep at it Marlene' was all that I heard when my legs felt like they'd fall off and my arms couldn't raise another punch and those stairs seemed an impossible climb.

After 12 weeks of never saying never and not accepting 'cant' as the excuse I've now looked at my before and after photos - it's not the same person looking back at me now - there's a genuine smile of happiness and achievement in the new woman in the photo, my first EVER pair of designer branded jeans EVER, worn with pride but above all else the confidence that not only that ' I can' but 'I did' !

I lost over 5kgs (11 pounds) and not only lost fat but gained lean muscle in the process! Over the 12 weeks I did the TT Home Workout Revolution Program as well as Turbulence Training Bootcamps down the beach at night and on weekends.

I am no longer skipping the stairs, I can't wait to pull on the gloves to box, I can plank 80 seconds without a moan and can dip, skip, push up and run as a normal part of my daily activity.

It is said that 12 weeks can break habits - but I disagree - 12 weeks can change your life if you want it to and if you have the conviction to never say never.

Thank you Ali Finlay for introducing me to Turbulence Training workouts and to everyone in the fox team! I've got more energy, more strength, but most importantly, more confidence and training friends!
