I began training with Kate in December 2013 in Long Island City Fit Body Boot Camp. Initially when Kate approached me about trying out boot camp, I laughed and said thanks, I'll think about it, not really even considering trying it.

I thought it would be too hard, too much work and too intense. I had been working out for several years with a gym membership. In 2006 I dropped from 220 lbs to 175 lbs and really started to eat healthier and exercise regularly.

Fast forward 7 years and I was back up to 200 lbs of some muscle and a lot of unneeded fat. I decided to try boot camp and I was right. It was extremely hard at first, a lot of work, and very intense, but I kept at it.

I started seeing results and then I started getting excited. Never had I felt the way I was feeling after being in bootcamp for a while. I actually looked forward to exercising!

I completely changed my diet cutting down on carbs and eating more protein and vegetables and fruit. I love the exercises we do and it's only for 30 minutes! The exercises are great too and it beats doing the same old boring stuff at the gym.

Instead of spending 45 minutes on the elliptical and then even more time on weights bored out of my mind, I'm doing burpees, squats, push ups, planks, TRX exercises and more in a circuit exercise routine that really gets your heart rate up, metabolism working and strengthening the muscles at the same time in a short, yet extremely effective 30 minutes!

It's the perfect style of training for a busy New Yorker. It has completely changed my life. I look better, feel healthier, have way more energy, booming confidence and so much more motivation and courage than before. I've accomplished something I didn't think was possible and now the sky's the limit!
