Nick Drops 14 Pounds and 5% Body Fat with the TT for Abs DVDs And is Healthier Now than He Has Been in Years

My name is Nick Carter, I'm 47 years old and this is my account of my first
attempt at the Transformation contest.

I had been following the free TT workouts that Craig posts on the 'net for
over a year but all I was really doing was "arm chair workouts", learning
about the importance of how the workouts were put together in order to
achieve maximum results without actually seriously commiting myself to
following a programme.

Although I'd not done any resistance training previous to the 2011
Transformation contest I had been going to the gym for a few weeks at a time
on and off to , so to speak, to use the treadmill as I was convinced of the
benefits of Interval Training and when I applied the information that I had
gleaned from the TT website I saw that the weight started to drop off and
STAY OFF but only for as long as I kept going to the gym 3 times per week.
My problem was I lacked proper "staying power" on the motivation front and
needed a kick in the pants to get me going. I knew what I wanted to achieve
but didnt know how to stay on track.

The answer to my problem came when I decided that the only way to make a
commitment and stick to it would be if I made a financial investment into my
weight loss asperation which I felt would certainly kick start me off of the
couch and into my garage cum home gym and so I purchased TT Home Abdominal
Workouts which come as a hard copy DVD box set that you follow along with.

This package also comes with a work out manual which also outlines subjects
such as life style reviews and goal setting and is great for refering to as
it certainly makes good motivational reading ( I read my copy at bed time -
well it works for me!) Another great feature of this package is the "Simple
Nutrition for Fat Loss" manual which keeps your meal plan fresh and
interesting.

When I started the workouts I almost made the mistake of going straight to
the "Intermediate" phase thinking that the Beginner workouts would
be "beneath me", what a mistake that would have been as the inintial 4 weeks
at Beginner level really do prepare you for the harder work outs ahead and
to be honest I really did need to enter the water at the shallow end and it
wasnt until I started the programme that I realised just how unfit I really
was.

Well I got through the first 4 weeks and although I found it difficult at
first as my body wasnt used to resistance training, I soon noticed that it
was getting easier and obviously I was getting fitter and stronger with each
passing week.

I noticed that I was actually looking forward to each workout and also that
as each one was completed I was getting a stronger self belief and the
feeling of satisfaction within was fantastic.

I moved onto and completed the intermediate workouts and just as I had found
the beginner workouts to be challenging so was the next level, but over the
four weeks I became fitter and stronger than I had been since I was a young
man. I found my self adding extra reps which was great especially as when I
started out I struggled to do 5 push ups but within 4 weeks I was doing 20!

I started to really push myself with the interval training, adding in extra
intervals and increasing the speed of the treadmill from one interval to the
next.

I could see my body changing and I could feel the difference in myself, I
felt fitter and I felt better mentaly - exercise is good for the soul!

Everything had been going so well and then DISASTER struck! I woke up for
work one morning feeling off colour but went to work as usual but was sent
home later that day as I started to feel and look worse as the day went on.
I had caught the "lurgee" that was going around, a flu type bug that
unfortunately eventualy hit my chest. I ended up with a broncil infection
and had to take a course of anti biotics to help my recovery. I was out of
action for over two weeks and when I started training again I had to start
back at the intermediate level as I hadnt recovered fully enough to be able
to the Advanced workouts.

What a nightmare!

Anyway although I wasnt able to complete the full 12 week programme I still
managed to make a big dent in my weight loss and fitness aspiration and I am
still very pleased with what I achieved to date.

I'm going to complete the intermiediate level in a weeks time and then move
on to the Advanced programme and when I've got those babies licked there's
the TT 300 and Torso Training to be getting on with. Happy Days!

Here are some stats that I had recorded by one of the trainers at the gym.

My weight 05.01.11  179lbs
02.04.11 165lbs
Loss 14lbs

Body Fat 32%                                   27.3%

I forgot to record my BMI at the start but its now 25.6 and my target is 25.
I'm healthier now than I have been for years.

A big thanks to you Craig Ballantyne.

Nick Carter.
